Polynya search
A Polynya is an area of open water within the ice cover that remains open for extented periods of time.Specify a Latitude, longitude, month of interest and minimum sea Ice Concentration (0 = Sea, 100 = Ice).
The returned results will be the closest 5 cells to the given longitude and latitude that had a sea ice concentration less than or equal to the given minimum sea ice concentration in the given month.
Cell size is 25 x 25 km.
Future work will allow the user to specify the min polynya area in multiples of 25km.
