About the Observational Data and Databases
Observational data is data collected from field or remote sensing work and stored within databases in the AADC. Data is usually not transformed, with the excpetion of converting data from local time to Universal Time (UTC), converting any local grid coordinates into WGS84 latitude and longitudes, and occassionally changes are made to units of measure.
